Choral festivals in Austria 2023
For school and youth choirs up to 26 years of age you can’t go past the Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival held each July in Vienna, which has categories for many different types of choir. In 2023 the dates are 30 June to 5 July.
The Sound Waves International Choir Competition and Festival will be held in the Austrian city of Linz, about 2 hours from Vienna. In 2023 the dates are 7-11 June. This festival provides fantastic opportunities for choirs of all ages and styles to perform, and also compete if they choose to do so.
Both festivals provide opportunities for competitions, workshops, public performances and valuable interactions with choirs from around the world.
